NVIDIA is an industry leader in high performance computing, gaming and AI. We are the Board Product Development Engineering team within NVIDIA’s operations group. Our work lies at the intersection of multi-disciplinary engineering fields – including but not limited to electrical, electronics, mechanical, thermal and software engineering. We are looking for a Senior Product Development Engineer - Boards, to help bring highly complex GPU board products from its design phase into mass production.What you’ll be doing:Work on NVIDIA gaming / workstation / compute GPU cards during NPI and in productionWork with cross-functional teams (including Hardware Design, Software, Manufacturing, Quality / Reliability, Application Engineering and Marketing) to achieve fast-paced delivery schedules on groundbreaking productsRoot Cause failing boards using lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes etc…) as well as SW tools. Make DFX recommendations to design teamsAnalyze yield and parametric data using available tools and programming / scriptingPerform product design and validation to support design engineering sustaining workDefine and improve manufacturing test plans to optimize coverage, test-time, test-cost and yieldDirect local and overseas contract manufacturing factories to transition new products to mass-productionRegularly report product status and recommend improvements to managementWhat we need to see:Experience in two or more of the following areas – board/PCB-design, board validation, post-Si validation, product engineering, design or validation of high speed interfaces (like PCI-E / DP / HDMI / USB), Power-Integrity, Thermal characterization, complex test setupsProblem solving skills and debugging expertiseUnderstanding of hardware testing and challenges facedGood team spirit and strong communicationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science (or equivalent experience)8+ years of experience in design / validation / product development / testing of PCB’s, Silicon or some other systemsWays to stand out from the crowd:Experience in data analysis, software tools and scriptingKnowledge of PCB manufacturing process, system assembly / testing and mechanical tolerancesExperience enabling / driving cross functional debugKnowledge of how to build computers and tweak BIOS settingsNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
