We are looking for a Robotics Engineer Manager for Isaac Perception team. Autonomous Robots are becoming more ubiquitous in real-world applications. Today, robots are expected to handle increasingly complex tasks in a wide range of environments, from industrial facilities to public spaces. This requires a rich and accurate perception of the surrounding environment, in particular for obstacle avoidance in navigation and manipulation use cases. At NVIDIA, our team is leveraging the capabilities of NVIDIA Jetson and cameras to provide an on-board pipeline for next generation Perception functionalities. The key differentiating factor of our team’s work is our capacity to leverage NVIDIA’s hardware and run GPU-accelerated algorithms and neural networks optimized for robotics usage. Join us to continue driving our 3D Perception stack for the future of the Isaac Robotics developments. What you’ll be doing:Define the roadmap for the future internal and public releases of the Isaac projects: define deliveries and work packages, help synchronize the dependencies across the other teams, formulate the Key Performance Indexes and associated test plansDrive the technical choices to build the new features of the perception stack: leverage the existing DNNs, provide feedback on performance and compute requirements, design new integrated DNN architectures adapted to the problem of navigation and manipulation. Mentor and supervise a team of SW robotics engineersSupport other Nvidia teams using our Perception stack for their own applications, either other Isaac Robotics teams such as the navigation team, or Nvidia Research.Help bring up an end-to-end robotics solution based on Nvidia GXF framework and work with the framework team to support robotics use case, improve performance. Supervise and support the team on design and code reviews (C++, Python, Pytorch and Nvidia TAO toolkit). What we need to see:PhD in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical engineering or relevant field for robotics, or equivalent experienceAt least 8+ overall years of relevant industry experience and 4+ years experience leading a teamParticipated in designing and implementing algorithms in embedded computer visionContributed in a real-time autonomous system project (robotics, autonomous driving etc)Excellent communication, analysis and problem solving skillsWays to stand out from the crowd:Have significant deep learning experience, especially with deployment on NVIDIA embedded platforms of the Jetson family.Experience with LLMs and VLMs for robotics use cases. Have published in major computer vision or robotics conferences in a field relevant to deep learning, volumetric reconstruction, mapping, perception.Familiar with the classical, geometric and deep learning aspects of computer vision.NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers with some of the most brilliant and talented people in the world working here. If you want to help make robotics progress in challenging contexts, we want to hear from you!The base salary range is $192,000 - $368,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.NVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
