As an Optical Assembly Process Engineer, you become part of the NVIDIA R&D team, and you will be working on the forefront of the communication technology, building the interconnection infrastructure for the Sophisticated Computing and Artificial Intelligence revolution.What you'll be doing:Process Engineer for new technologies development.In this role, you will be developing in the field of micro-electro-optics an advanced assembly process, and carry out the processing, aligning, and assembly of Micro optical devices, that revolutionize in the field of optical fiber communication.Develop and implement advanced and accurate assembly processes, for the manufacturing of future high-data transfer rate devices.Characterizing and investigating of the compatibility of new adhesives, soldering material, packaging material..etc , to the optical, interconnect productsYour work includes micro-assembly processes, equipment development and material characterization, as well as transfer to high-volume manufacturing lines. You will be involved also in the development of electro-optical devices.This includes: Operating the assembly work environment and equipment for accurate alignment and integration, learning the programming environment of the alignment cluster, to make new process sequences within this environment, planning required machine and process improvements, optical and other metrical and analytical testing and measurementsWork involves many hours of laboratory work, and requires long stay near machines and analytical devices.Participate in the process of bringing up a new technology from the R&D stage, to the Engineering and bring-up then to the high volume manufacturing lines.You will be in work relationships and cooperation with many other professional teams.What we need to see: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Materials Engineering / Opto-Mechanical Engineering / Physics5+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in the semiconductor, optics, or PCB industryGood capability and understanding of machines and processes as well as the interface between the twoCapability of working with machines recipes and softwareSelf-management, innovation and initiatorSuperior problem-solving and presentation skillsTeamwork player as well as a sole workerHigh level of English (Speak, read and write)Ways to stand out of a crowd:Experience in a development environmentBackground with the semiconductor or optical communication industryGood understanding of optical devices and phenomenaProgramming skill
