NVIDIA is hiring an Automotive System Engineer to build the future of SW defined Vehicles. As a member of our team you will be responsible for capturing OEM requirements, driving the software stack architecture design compliant with automotive safety and regulations. You will work with different teams on all sort of ambitious problems for autonomous driving including computer vision, deep learning, visualization & graphics rendering, object tracking, speech, multi-modal fusion, as well as sensors including Camera, RADAR, Vehicle CAN... Your work at Nvidia will help transform the data into driving information to improve the passenger's experience and safety. You will help build the software platform, make it work flawlessly and safely. You are expected to have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills and experience with Automotive process driven SW release. Strong system and software experience is a requirement including but not limited to ISO2626-2, ASPICE, ASIL, NCAP, FMVSS and V&V. Strong track record working with customer requirement and crafting vehicle / system level requirements and architecture documentation. Familiarity with artificial intelligence / Large Language Model is desirable.What you’ll be doing:Collect, analyze, review, approve requirements for Autonomous Vehicle SW products. Drive ISO2626/2, ASPICE certification and regulatory compliance.Solve the real challenging system problems to introduce next generation SW driven vehicles with multi-functional teams,You will be part of a highly collaborative team working across many domains and applications.What we need to see:MS or PhD in EE/CS or closely related field (or equivalent experience) with 3+ year of relevant work developing and releasing software for complex systems.Deep understanding of programming languages in C, C++ and Python and are familiar with JIRA, JAMA, CAMEO, UML...Familiar with source control tools (git, Perforce, etc.).Experienced in developing system software mostly in user space but also feel no big deal in digging deep into kernel space and even low-level hardware.You know and have experience driving Automotive process such as ISO2626/2, ASPICE and have a deep understanding of compliance and regulation requirements.More than familiar with underlying hardware architecture for CPU/GPU, embedded systems and memory, and understand performance from bottom up.Prior experience working in the following areas: Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Kernel development, Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics, Self-Driving-Cars, GPU technology.Display outstanding communication and collaboration skills, as we work as a tightly-knit team, always discussing and learning from each other and driving things forward and making fast progress to solve challenges for our customers.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Deep understanding of system architecture, CPU/GPU/Memory/Storage, everything related to performance optimizationSolid working experience in kernel developing, Linux/QNX, and all too familiar with OS scheduling, virtualization.Experience with Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning or other Artificial Intelligence paradigmsExperience in Automotive Vehicle, Sensors or Robotic System BuildingWe believe that realizing software driven cars will be a defining contribution of our generation (e.g. traffic accidents are responsible for ~1.25 million deaths per year world-wide).
