As part of the AI Infrastructure and Tools team, your software will be the foundation for the development and testing of our self-driving stack. We are looking for great engineers who love building systems to power development and research teams. The successful candidate will have a strong background in internal tools and frameworks for algorithmic, systems, and ML development and evaluation, and in metrics computation and analysis. The role will work closely across divisions of the NVIDIA AV team, including software and hardware.What You’ll Be Doing:Build python, Go, C++ tools and frameworks for development and evaluation of the AV stack, including log-replay and driving-simulation.Partner with various AV teams, including Planning & Control, Perception, V&V, Safety, and more, and also with our Mercedes-Benz counterparts.Work closely with AV engineers to improve our developer experience, and deliver novel ways to test new AV capabilities.Collaborate with a diverse group of engineers across the entire NVIDIA Automotive platform, and with our external automotive partners.Architect and build scalable and distributed services that will help power the AI infrastructure for deep learning platforms.Together with key contributors from multiple teams, you will help to design, drive, craft, and verify improvements to our Bazel CI infrastructure for automated testing of modular softwareWhat We Need To See:BS/MS in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent experience.8+ years of relevant experience.Hands-on coding experience with high performance, high quality, and well-tested and well-designed code.Experience developing internal frameworks and APIs, reporting + analysis tools, and/or developer productivity tools.Solid systems engineering background.Great communication skills and proven ability to coordinate for timely results.Strong interest in infrastructure work and development.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Experience working on self-driving or general automotive software.Experience developing log-replay and/or driving-simulation systems.Background with test and evaluation engineering in AV domain or in another high-tech field (e.g., aerospace, virtual/augmented reality, or natural language).Open-source contributions or interesting side projects.With highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology industry's most desirable employers.
