This role is based out of NVIDIA’s Corporate Office in Santa Clara, CA as part of the Finance team and reports directly to the Senior Manager – Capital Asset Management and Accounting.You will be primarily responsible for global process management for capital asset accounting. This leadership position requires an organized, highly motivated professional with the ability to drive operational and process improvements. The individual will perform a variety of tasks ranging from routine to complex analysis and play a critical part in asset accounting operations, including the month-end close with responsibility for complete and accurate financial statements. This position is best suited for a career minded accounting professional who is detail oriented and enjoys working in a challenging, fast-paced environment.What you’ll be doing:Managing and ensuring the accuracy of the accounting of the company's capital assets throughout the life cycle of the asset (acquisitions, transfers, depreciation, reporting, verification and disposals) including appropriate classification, useful life, and method of depreciationDrive global process automation and continuous improvement initiatives for fixed assets geared towards operational improvements; including efficiency, consistency, and standardization across all accounting entities and operational teamsDevelop expertise and thoroughly understand the features, functionality, and capability of the fixed asset ERP software systemReview asset account reconciliations and analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy and resolve account discrepancies on a timely basisMonitor and report on the activity in the CIP (construction in progress) account, including new construction and expansion projects, and ensure the timely capitalization of such activityMaintain a full understanding of the purchase requisition approval process and provide training and assistance to ensure uniform practices across functionsLead and coordinate periodic physical inventory and ensure the system records are updated accordinglyAssist with developing and documenting asset accounting processes including asset acquisition, transfer, depreciation, and disposition procedures in addition to developing and monitoring system controls and proceduresParticipate in the Company’s quarterly, interim, and year-end audits, prepare supporting documentation and assist with auditor inquiriesEnsure compliance with the Company's SOX and internal control processes as well as assist with the preparation of statement of cash flows as it relates to fixed assetsWhat we need to see:Undergraduate Degree in Finance/Accounting (or equivalent experience) with knowledge of US GAAP and 7+ years of experienceExperience in Fixed Assets accounting with 4+ years of leadership experience, preferably at a Fortune 500 companyWorking experience with and knowledge of accounting software systems (preferably SAP) as well as asset management database toolsDemonstrated experience automating processes and activities, including data center asset managementStrong Microsoft Office skills (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook) requiredExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-taskWays to stand out from the crowd:Experience with end-to-end lifecycle processes for data centers and fixed assets, preferably at a large cloud service provider or internet companyPossess deep knowledge base and a dream to strive for excellenceConsistent record of accomplishment of establishing relationships with cross-functional business partnersReal passion for continuous improvement of systems and processesA leader who takes additional responsibilities as they progress and stays committed to providing an environment that furthers career growth and development for the teamNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
