We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Engineering FP&A Organization supporting the Hardware R&D team focusing on the product development lifecycle to forecast and cost optimize silicon, boards, and systems.As integral members of the FP&A team, our organization’s overarching responsibilities are to provide the highest caliber of relevant financial and business information that is both insightful and actionable, enabling effective decision-making at all levels to improve our Company’s financial performance. These are highly visible roles for energetic individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.What you’ll be doing:You will build and maintain a thorough understanding of NVIDIA’s products and roadmap, develop models to predict pre-production investment requirements, and create business metrics that are insightful and useful to improve the Company’s performance.Build strong partnerships with Engineering and other supporting organizations in the Company to align engineering requirements, provide insightful business and financial dashboards and reporting on key engineering matters.Collaborate closely with Engineers and Planners to gain a comprehensive understanding of project progress, subsequently providing informed insights into the primary causes of execution delays. Proficiency in condensing technical terminology into easily understandable language will be highly advantageous.Establish dynamic reporting structures that cover budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Devise and implement meaningful metrics and reporting instruments to uncover valuable insights across different spend segments such as NRE, pre-production inventory, excess & obsolescence.Create informative dashboards and reports to visually represent financial data and facilitate informed decision-making. Build and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monitor them on a weekly basis.You will lead changes to processes and procedures to improve efficiency, forecast accuracy, and ability to identify business insight, including documentation of same.Apply strong data management skills to collect, organize, and analyze financial information effectively.Manage multiple assignments concurrently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.What we need to see:BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Engineering degree (or equivalent experience) with an MBA.8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or other analytically focused positions ideally in a fast-paced technology or related industry.Proficiency in data management and transformation tools such as Excel Power Query, SQL, or similar software is a hard requirement.Expert analytical skills and advanced financial modeling techniques, with ability to build and convey business insight.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial ERP systems. SAP experience, a plus.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work across cross-functional teams.Ways to stand out from the crowd: Semiconductor and/or manufacturing experience in Tech.Strong understanding of industry technology and market dynamics in areas directly related to NVIDIA’s products, research and development.Prior Engineering and/or Operations support experience with inventory management skills.Knowledge of product cost structures and understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM).NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
