Product Owner

We are looking for a Product Owner, who will be an integral member of a team of Product Owners driving feature development, contributing to a first-class user experience on the ProQuest Ebook Central platforms.  You will match and prioritize features and functionality to obtain maximum performance.  You will also be responsible for understanding customer & user needs in order to create a prioritized list of requirements for future development, writing user stories, making critical decisions on priorities to deliver product value, and be the representative of the customer to the development team.  If this sounds like an opportunity you are interested in, then we would love to talk to you! About You – education, experience, skills, and accomplishmentsBachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience3+ years of experience delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset3 + years of experience working in an Agile or Scrum Development market, ideally as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Technical Product Management3+ years of experience using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision makingIt would be great if you also had…Familiarity working with analytics to guide product & UI development, such as Google AnalyticsFamiliarity with Silicon Valley Product Group product development methods and strategiesFamiliarity with Pragmatic Marketing and/or 280 GroupSocial science interview techniques for surveying customer and market needs and requirementsKnowledge of or experience working in Academic Library marketplace, higher education publishing, and/or education technologyProfessional experience in a library settingWhat will you be doing in this role? Work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablementWork in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risksTranslate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteriaPrioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders, led by product managementLead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the platform(s) and usersDevelop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investmentResponsible for end-to-end launch of productsAbout the Team Reporting into the Director of Product Management, this role joins 4 other product owners who manage various books platforms and associated systems.
