The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering the value proposition and go-to-market strategy for BioWorld, a suite of award-winning B2B news services. Based on a deep understanding of the target markets, competitive conditions and product strategy, the Product Marketing Manager will create and implement the marketing strategy in direct support of the growth of BioWorld’s subscription news and advertising services.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishmentsMinimum 5 years of experience in product/segment marketing role which includes setting and implementing sales and marketing strategy in B2B publishing.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in developing and executing against marketing strategies focused on lead generation and retention, with measurable and demonstrated KPI’s.Experience driving marketing strategy that incorporates every possible tool in the armamentarium including digital ads, social media, content marketing, video/voice, ecommerce, partnerships and sponsorships and SEO to name a few.Expertise in identifying trends and marketing opportunities through data analytics.Knowledge of the drug and medical technology development life cycles preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience with tools such as Mailchimp, Eloqua, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Pendo.It would be great if you also have . . .Demonstrated creativity (possessing a portfolio or examples of successful marketing strategies).Ability to step way outside of routine marketing approaches to differentiate product value.What will you be doing in this role?This position offers the right candidate an opportunity to create and implement a bold new marketing strategy. Key activities include market segmentation, persona research and development, creation of original and persuasive messaging and frameworks, buyer journey mapping, monitoring the competitive landscape to drive business results in line with business strategy.  The position will carry marketing targets aligned to business goals around retention, up and cross sell and new logo acquisition.  This position includes supporting the Vice President of News in the development of the overall marketing strategy, go-to-market programs and sales readiness. Additional responsibilities include:Deliver customer growth while preserving and retaining existing customer base.Identify and prioritize target market segments, develop positioning, ROI/value statements, pricing, and other go to market design aspects.Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners, including shared marketing services, business leads and sales.Develop written messaging frameworks and product positioning for campaigns, websites and sales enablement material.Update sales enablement tools and content.Educate sales on product value propositions, industry trends, competition and more.Define customer-centric value propositions within the assigned business area leveraging market, competitor and customer insight.Define buyer and user journeys involved in the purchasing process to align marketing strategy and develop go-to-market strategy and external messaging.About the team:This is a new position, reporting to the Publisher/VP of News.  We are a global team that delivers breaking news and perspectives on the business, scientific, clinical and regulatory aspects of drug and medical technology development.
