We are currently looking for an experienced database administrator who will support, together with the team, a wide range of database engines RDSMS and NOSQL. Since the team also manages their servers in the cloud (AWS), the candidate should also have skills managing OS (Oracle Linux) and some basic concepts about public cloud (AWS)About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments 5+ years in Database Management (preferably Oracle, Postgres is a plus, NoSQL is good to have).Knowledge on cloud environments (AWS), although the lack of it could be compensated with a good knowledge of datacenter or virtualization infrastructure.Linux administrationTerraform, Ansible, GIT (BitBucket), JenkinsIt would be great if you also had . . . Exposure in DevopsWhat will you be doing in this role?Assist product by deploying new database environments, helping also to choose the technology that best fits on each case. We use Terraform for our infrastructure deployments in AWSMonitor and maintain our pool of databases (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)Assist developers to ensure they follow good DB practices and their queries perform at best.24x7 on call rotation (will be aprox. one week per month)Work with team collaborative toold: Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.About the Team Our team (currently 8 people, adding 2 more) supports the database infrastructure of Life Sciences, Healthcare and Platform in Clarivate analytics.
