This is an amazing opportunity to monitor and oversee the entire Ex Libris cloud and provide fast solutions to critical issues that arise. The team consists of 10 people and reports to the direct Team Leader of the group.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 1-year experience as a Linux system engineer. Familiarity with network and application monitoring concepts and tools (e.g., Nagios, Solarwinds). Previous experience serving a large-scale customer base. Strong analytical skills for conducting technical analysis and interpreting data. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Demonstration of a service-oriented mindset, along with strong organizational skills. Self-motivated and able to learn independently. Works well in a team environment and builds positive relationships. Strong multitasking skills while maintaining attention to detail.It would be great if you also had . . .  Proficient in Oracle, MySQL, demonstrating knowledge of database management systems. Previous experience working in an around-the-clock call center, NOC, or HUB environment. Proficient in the scripting language Bash. Proficient in the general programming language Python. Understanding of storage and backup concepts and technologies. Proficient in diagnosing network issues and troubleshooting connectivity problems. Knowledge of additional languages.What will you be doing in this role? Manage and operate diverse monitoring and control systems within the cloud environment to ensure smooth operations and identify any potential issues or anomalies. Analyze and promptly resolve critical issues that arise within the cloud, leveraging the information gathered from various monitoring systems. Swiftly address any performance or availability concerns to minimize downtime and disruptions. Take responsibility for analyzing and resolving software update issues on a weekly and monthly basis. Ensure that updates are implemented smoothly, minimizing any negative impact on system performance or customer experience. Analyze and address critical cases raised by customers related to all company products. Provide timely and effective solutions while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain effective communication channels with clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and coordination. Act as a point of contact for escalations, ensuring prompt response and answers to issues. Additionally, raise red flags and notify relevant stakeholders when potential risks or concerns are identified within the cloud environment.The product you will be developingYou will be responsible for monitoring and supporting network and infrastructure operations.
