The work includes standard activities like model development, model evaluation, deployment, and continuous monitoring.Drive the direction of Data Science team development.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists.Contribute/lead the data science team's strategy and goals.Work with a team of 8+ fellow software engineers and data scientists.Product & Team:Stories proprietary Storyteller software is the foundation of Workday’s Augmented Analytics platform.The platform delivers automated analyses of People, Finance, and any structured data to business users without a need for a human analyst.Our automated analyses are presented to users in easily consumable and narrative stories.In the Prague office, we are a team of 80+ software engineers, data analysts, PMs, SREs, and SDETs sitting at Churchill Square.The Data Science team consists of 10 data scientists and Python developers working on various projects, from product analytics, resource optimization allocation, and augmented analytics to Large Language Models (LLM).We are working closely with the Workday Analytics team in Silicon Valley. About YouBasic Qualifications:5+ years of programming experience in Java, Python, or R. 2+ years of Python programming (pandas, scikit-learn, jupyter, etc.) and SQL experience1+ years of proven experience in leading and mentoring junior data scientists. Other Qualifications (nice to have):A BS in a Data Science relevant field with 4+ years of experience or an MS in a Data Science relevant field with 2+ years of experienceAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment.Previous experience working on complex technical problems and a track record of being able to identify and solve business problems using data-driven approaches.Proven record of strong communication and analytical skills on real projectsExperience with enterprise architecture software design and contribution to a large-scale software Experience with Large Language Models and/or generative AI modelsExperience with Scala is beneficial.What you will learn:Practical experience in integrating Large Language Models into an enterprise product grade solution, how to test it, and how to operate it.Inner workings, ideas, and concepts behind leading Augmented Analytics softwareHow to drive Data Science team strategyPractical experience in mentoring Junior Data Scientists to contribute to the team strategy Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
