They are expected to build strong partnerships with some major functions and consult on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate investments.ResponsibilitiesIndustry Landscape Analysis and competitors AnalysisPerforms market research of DC/IDC to understand the existing and incremental IDC of competitors and their future development directionEstablish and maintain the relationship with Shanghai operators, government, public security, fire protection, etc. Prepare for Equinix's future developmentEstablish and sign cooperation agreements with potential partnersNew Services DevelopmentWorks with solutions Architecture and product teams to outline high priority feature requirement for existing MarketsCooperate with the product department in the research and development of new productsProvides specific customer and competitive summaries as input to justifying new services developmentM&AAnalyzes trends and deal activity in sectors of interest to EquinixSupports analyses of different structural alternatives (i.e., build vs. buy, equity investment vs. partnership vs. acquisition)Conducts analyses to support the development of M&A thesis (the "why") in support of Strategy with the Business Unit HeadsProvides support to senior team members in the development of operational models and synergy forecasts for targetsMay assist with the storyboarding of presentations to drive discussion at the Senior Executive levelStrategic Planning and DevelopmentIndependently conducts competitive market research on trends that have a potential to impact the business, as assigned by senior leadershipConducts and prepares reports on researchProject and Program ManagementAttends and supports cross functional team meetingsAssists in preparation of Executive staff and Board presentation materialsSupports efforts on internal consulting projects focused on new markets/products, growth initiatives or profitability improvementsAids in short-term consulting / problem solving / performance improvement support & advice to E-team, as neededPrepares team meeting materialsCooperate with leaders to make relevant reports, data collection and document establishment.
