Acts as first level responder to complex and high severity escalation issues. Manages relationships with functional stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of information security professionals focused on security response activitiesGuide the handling of cyber incidents through analysis, containment, and eradication/remediation while ensuring that best practices are maintainedBuild relationships with internal and external stakeholders within Global CERT processes to support a superior incident response capabilityProducing and maintaining documentation and metrics pertaining to team processes and proceduresParticipation in the development and curation of runbooks corresponding to potential cybersecurity incidents, including integration of runbooks with external stakeholders in incident responseDocumenting and applying lessons learned through the incident response process to support continuous improvementParticipation in the Global CERT Management on-call rotationQualifications7+ years of experience in information security rolesExperience in leading technical personnel within information security disciplinesExceptional communications skills (oral and written) with a history of successfully engaging with multiple levels of leadershipExperience in cyber incident runbook development and curation, with the ability to take lessons learned from incident response activities to improve documentationUnderstanding of technology systems such as networks, applications, servers, cloud, authentication, and emerging technologiesStrong knowledge of cyber security threat actors, particularly their tactics, techniques, procedures, tradecraft, and noteworthy attacksExperience working with information security teams and functions, such as security operations centers, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability threat management, security incident management, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and cyber threat analytics; direct experience in these functions in preferredFamiliarity with Enterprise change management best practicesExperience implementing processes aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity FrameworkMust be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently with little oversightBachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferredDegrees and/or Certifications in computer forensics, information security, and similar preferredEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
