We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job Summary:The Critical Facilities Specialist supports the wider team by performing repairs and leading all aspects of site maintenance at our static site. The successful applicant will be tasked with coordinating the maintenance and up keeping of all Data center infrastructure according to Equinix global standards.Given the nature of our existing team make-up and close location of our sites, we are considering candidates with a strong controls, electrical or mechanical background but ideally with exposure across all disciplines. All engineers are encouraged to work across Engineering functions where possible so applicants with a broad working background who collaborate with customers, vendors and colleagues will suit the role well.Strong interpersonal skills (particularly when speaking with onsite customers), attention to detail, engineering proficiency and a dedication to consistently achieving personal and team Equinix goals will be highly regarded.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides the team with technical support and adviceActs as SME and provides training to team members where neededBreakdown and Repairs ManagementMaintenance Scheduling and Planned Preventative MaintenanceMaintaining Security Policy and ProceduresReporting - Reviews specialist contractual reports and activitiesAssess Consistency to Policy - Ensures all repairs performed on all data center infrastructure are completed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and standard methodologiesProblem Solving - root cause analysis and in the repair of failed componentsTeamwork -Liaises with regional construction or design teams on design changesDesign - Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g., single power source)QualificationsTrade Cert or Degree in related fieldsWillingness to work autonomously and unsupervised when required.Ideally some data center or mission critical exposure and experiencePositive demeanor and outlook, enjoys working in a team environment.Ability to attain and maintain NV1 security clearance.Benefits of the roleSalary package including annual bonus, annual reviews, and healthcare allowance!
