This means that we support hospitals, laboratories, public safety centers. Simply put - We cannot go dark. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing a team of Customer Operation Technicians involved with supporting customers, troubleshooting and installing sophisticated circuits and performing custom installations. ResponsibilitiesProvide immediate management to a team of employeesPlan core duties for the team to completeRun and supervise project teams as neededEnsure staff are fully trained on current functional operational procedures, ticketing system operational procedures, and safety; ensure full compliance with quality assurance programTroubleshooting and fault resolution of reported/detected faults by investigating the issue, identifying the cause and implementing the required fixSummarize the findings during the troubleshooting and produces Incident Reports for the customerPerform troubleshooting and supports customersUnderstand customer cabling requirements, performs site surveys, provides cost estimates to Sales and installation of new cablesPerform testing of cables before handing to customerLead, brief, and teach vendors for installation, testing, and labelingPerform preventive maintenance to Data Center equipment to prevent faults from occurringPrioritize multiple projects and assists in designating work to teamExtensive knowledge in network and equipment platforms, systems, and circuits QualificationsA minimum of 5 years of related Data Center experienceA minimum of 2 years Data Center lead or management experienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentCompany benefits for the U.S. are subject to eligibility requirements and include Medical, TeleMedicine, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D insurance, 401K, leave of absence and disability benefits, paid time off, holidays, and more.Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability. If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.Equinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position may be offered in other locations. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
