We are looking for a Director of HR Strategy and Employee Listening to join our global team. The ideal candidate for this new position will be an HR professional who has thrived in a product environment and is looking to help us achieve our ambitious transformational objectives. This role is ideal for someone who is a builder, wants to help shape the future, and is willing to be vulnerable in recognizing that our progress will not be linear.Reporting to the VP of HR Strategy, this role will build and lead a small, diverse, and inclusive team with a remit for Strategic Planning, Budgeting and HR operating mechanism as well as defining our employee experience strategy and employee listening. In addition, this role will serve as the bridging tie across the HR Strategy organization (which includes HR Communications, HR Strategic Initiative Leads, and the Workforce Insights team).You will collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry and enjoy a competitive package, extraordinary benefits, and a creative and diverse work environment.ResponsibilitiesHR Employee & Product Listening(Re)design integrated vision for enterprise listening to reinforce and measure enterprise Employee Experience and Culture (e.g. types of active and passive listening, tools etc.)Surface insights, actions and interventions required at Enterprise level with HR Leadership Team, Client Services, TrO and other business senior stakeholders in (new and existing) operating mechanismsRaise awareness through data on impact of employee experience on customer experiencePartner with People Solutions (aka Centers of Excellence), Employee Experience, Client Services and Workforce Insights to agree on a continuous listening strategy for assessing and driving insights to action for HR ProductsPartner closely with Workforce Insights leader to join up insights and frame requirements for integrated listening (and measurement strategy, infrastructure and tools) for our HR Products and employee experience overall.Strategic Planning, Budgeting, & InterlocksResponsible for overall HR strategy development, including Employee Experience Strategy. Focuses broadly on strengthening the alignment between business priorities and HR strategy Develop and sustain HR organizational interlocks (e.g. review meetings, white papers) to drive functional cohesivenessPartner closely with HR practice leaders to develop and execute short and long-term HR strategiesManage the Annual HR planning and budget processAlign cross-functional stakeholders through an approach that will better enable regional leadership and global alignment in regionWorkforce Trends & ResearchMaintain a view on internal talent trends (e.g. org changes, attrition, eSat scores etc.) Research external talent and business trends that may influence HR’s current and long-term strategy; help coalesce a POV for HRLT on what how to evolve the development and execution of our people strategyQualificationsKnowledge and ExperienceBachelor’s degree preferred7+ years of experience leading in HR Executive, Strategy or consulting engagements 3+ years of progressive experience in leading Employee Listening StrategiesSuccessful track record in designing and implementing practical solutions to address organizational and human capital development needsExperience with complex, multi-dimensional projects, and proven success at building credibility quickly at all levels of the organization, including senior executivesExperience leading and operating governance mechanisms in an organization using agile methodologies with a product mindset is strongly preferredExperience in mid-size, matrixed and multinational organizationsSkills and AttributesExecutive presence with ability to influence executivesFinancial acumen around investment strategies and budgetingAdept at balancing intense short term pressures with overall long term goals Adept at inspiring behavior change through motivating teams, planning initiatives, designating priorities, and being decisive when faced with ambiguityFocus on execution and results – establishing high standards for performance, setting goals and developing plans, following through and holding people accountable for resultsStrong verbal, written and interpersonal skills and ability to adapt communication style and content to the audience; ability to influence without authority; experience working with different executive and leadership levelsEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
