Analyzes data, provides qualitative insight and is responsible for executing the strategy in partnership with cross-functional leaders. Typically has solid experience managing country level revenue and/or P&L performance. Manages no more than 1 highly complex metro (defined below).What You'll DoMetro Strategy - Co-Create, Maintain/Enforce, ExecuteManages 1 highly complex metro in a consistently growing market with at least 1 active expansion Data Center's at all timesUses highly developed and acute market knowledge based on competitive intel gathered from customers, brokers, agents and others to execute the strategyLeverages thought leadership market understanding and current supply in metro to set pricing thresholds for Data Centers and target vertical mix in execution of the strategyCollaborates with business development, executives and sales to identify optimal anchors in new Data Centers/expansion phases to optimize existing Data Center marginsConsults with Corporate Development and leaders on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and on real estate acquisitions in driving critical long- term growth objectivesDefine business case revenue assumptions - fill rate, pricing, density, LFP vs. retail mix and interconnection %Executes against and is accountable for performance verses business caseLeads the long-term strategy in determining strategic objectives based on trends, pipeline and input from customers and Equinix executives to build bottom up bookings forecastIs a leader in the budget process by leading the objectives and approaches to meet the long-term successful linkage between the business cases and revenue requirementsSales FacilitationUnderstands and applies the "right deal in right Data Center"Crafts commercial offers where applicable, typically for magnet capture in partnership with Commercial Solutions, regional business development and sales leadershipReviews, recommends and approves large and/or strategic opportunities that impact critical business case performanceReviews and as needed, approves concession credits and refunds as circumstances warrantDemand GenerationDevelops and leads metro and Data Center-specific programs to accelerate growth, defend existing and develop nascent ecosystems in partnership with MD, Sales, and BD Monitor market share and push for market share gains while pushing for consistent progress towards market leadership (where we are not market leader)Builds and leverages relationships with brokers, agents, key in-metro personnel at important customers and others in the industry to gather information on existing and new demand and increase visibility of EQIX offerings in the metroCapacity PlanningProvides and is accountable for revenue assumptions in business cases and recommendations on when we need capacity in coordination with MD and CD. Is actively involved in responding to questions from senior executives on the merits of the expansion cases, why capacity is needed now, and supportability of revenue assumptions based on history and pipelineSpecial projectsIdentifies and/or executes opportunities for meaningful process or other improvements in the business and/or lead cross functional projects around functional and regional alignment, evaluation of existing and emerging metrics used by Commercial Finance to evaluate progress and other topics as neededQualificationsTypically requires proven years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
