This team is responsible for building EQUINIX’s highly scalable, globally distributed, real-time interconnection platform, and are looking for a Staff Software Engineer Full-stack candidate.A hands-on engineer able to collaborate with team members or work independently assigned tasks. Able to analyse business requirements and help convert them into technical tasks. Develops software solutions by collaboration with product teams, analysts and other engineer. Pays attention to system quality, performance, scalability and security. Takes ownership of the developed functionalities and components - You Build It, You Run It attitude.ResponsibilitiesDesigning, developing, deploying and documenting softwareUnderstanding, reading, and reviewing requirements with collaborators and supports management in effort estimatesInteracting with product management teams to understand product requirementsCross-technical teams integrationParticipation in peer reviewsInvestigating, analyzing, and evaluating technical approaches to business problemsContribute and own test automation for features.Own and support our customer by rotating on a 24/7 support for our servicesQualificationsBachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent)Full Stack expertise in cloud-based application development with in-depth knowledge of Java eco-system (experience with frameworks such as Spring, Play, Hibernate)3+ years of hands-on professional development experience building, deploying, and maintaining customer-facing applicationsJavaScript (with at least one modern framework like React/Angular/Ember), HTML5/CSS3, Node.js is nice to haveExperience in working with data storage solutions: relational design using RDBMS and/or NoSQL such as MongoDBExperience with multiple architecture styles including SOA, API-first and micro-services architecturesHands-on experience with Agile-scrum methodologyCritical thinker and problem-solving skillsGood time-management skillsGreat interpersonal and communication skillsThe targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $111,000 to $185,000Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.This position may be offered in other locations.
