Job SummaryAssist in setting and accomplishing group goals in the development of procurement plans for construction and operations purchases. Identify, organize, and manage highly complex and visible construction equipment procurement, which has critical financial impact on the corporation. This position requires strong critical thinking and highly cultivated interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and work effectively with global and regional teams, cross functional groups, and suppliers. Develop procurement plans for construction and operations purchases. Identify, organize, and manage construction equipment procurement working with global and regional teams, cross functional groups and suppliers. Responsibilities include a heavy emphasis on supporting the purchases for Equinix’s data centers and ensuring the execution of sound sourcing and supplier management discipline. Assess supply base and spend, and collaborate with multiple business units to drive cost savings and improve operational efficiencies.What you will be doingPrimary contact for providing TIER 2 and 3 system and process support, as well as training Equinix colleagues and Procurement team members on how to use key procurement systems including our ERP (Coupa) in the Americas region Provide guidance on how to raise requestions and manage Purchase orders within the Equinix Policies and Procedural framework. Resolve operational issues that are assigned, for example issues with PO quantity mismatch Continually improve the process by routinely assess most common operational issues and updating training or providing suggestions on how to improve. Perform user acceptance testing within the ERP (Coupa) for any system updates and upgrades within the Americas region. Work closely with Payables team and Finance teams to resolve PO related invoice issues Work with internal and external stakeholders for issuance of routine communications and Procurement Newsletter Support the Procurement Excellence team with other various development or management project as needed. Global Procurement Training Support Assist in development and implementation of Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) workflows for Coupa system Creation of self-service training within DAP and AI Chatbot to guide users and approvers on the procurement process Assist in management of the Training Repository including facilitating and triaging changes to existing training materials What you should have1-3 years’ experience in procurement, preferably with a procurement operations background Experience of working within an ERP like Oracle or Coupa is preferred Understanding of the source to pay (S2P) process:, sourcing, contract management and requisition to receipt Understanding of Procurement savings types (hard savings and cost avoidance) Project Management experience preferred Must work well with global cross functional teams Experience in Excel and Smartsheet a plus Spanish or Portuguese language preferred “Equinix is an equal employment opportunity employer.
