The IT Strategic Vendor Manager is responsible for driving synergies and building relationships with Global IT leaders at Equinix and their strategic vendors, specifically for software, professional services, and hardware categories. This role involves driving IT vendor operations within the entire contract lifecycle; from competitive bidding, selection and negotiation support, in collaboration with Procurement and Legal.ResponsibilitiesSupport Vendor Selection and Consolidation with Procurement: Manage IT Vendor Portfolio to align with the company's goals and compliance requirements. This involves tracking performance, cost-savings opportunities, and service alignmentSupport Strategic Negotiations: Facilitating the contract negotiation process with procurement to establish favorable terms and conditions for IT. This may involve forecasting, service level agreements (SLAs), delivery schedules, and other contractual elements and leveraging cross-functional synergies for negotiationContract Lifecycle Management: Ensuring that software, professional services and hardware vendor contracts are accurately processed through our CLM tool, documented, up to date and compliant. This involves tracking contract expiration dates, renewals, and any amendmentsRelationship Building: Developing and nurturing strong relationships with IT stakeholders, as well as FP&A, Procurement and Legal partners. This involves effective problem-solving and maintaining a constructive dialogueFinancial Insights for Strategic Investments: Applying financial analytics to drive optimization and cost-effective vendor strategyCross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with various internal departments with the same categories and/or vendors to drive cost optimization, increase negotiation leverage, and share best practices and lessons learnt. Manages stakeholder escalations, supplier QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) and leads collaboration with other teams to meet Service Level ObjectivesManages IT Contracts Pipeline proactively across all three categories to ensure adequate runway for innovation, market analysis, proof of concept, etc., within our contract lifecycle and our partner’s SLAs for optimal technology investment for EquinixOwn IT Vendor Operational excellence by identifying process gaps or issues through flowcharts / process maps and evaluate automation opportunities. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position may be offered in other locations.
