You’ll help your teams engage with key stakeholders and customers to validate the value hypotheses supporting their ideas, and as an experienced business leader you’ll ensure that they have thought through the various challenges and business integration risks that would prevent those ideas from being successful. You’ll help ensure strong, cohesive, and empowered product teams are operating with a solid working cadence and culture, and you’ll coach the PMs who report to you on how to effectively course correct when team dynamics are not optimal.This role reports to the Head of Product for Equinix Edge Infrastructure Services.ResponsibilitiesBe an expert in your practice area by understanding the key technologies, competitive landscape, customer needs, and industry trends impacting both your part of the business and Equinix’s business more broadly. Leverage this expertise to keep the team moving and innovating in the right direction, at paceRemoving barriers across functional team by understanding our business and its key players, and then serving as an evangelist for the value of the team’s efforts and a connector between other teams and leaders on whom the team dependsProviding appropriate strategic direction by researching and understanding leading thinking and best practices and competitive landscape in your teams’ key focus areas, providing input to senior leadership and the strategy team, and then helping your team apply the resulting strategy to prioritize and focus their effortsCoaching teams to improve their success by engaging closely with each team, understanding and helping them unblock their key challenges, and encouraging them to practice *true* agile development by building small, failing fast, and iteratively and incrementally moving towards successDemonstrating competency by leaning in to not just tell teams how to get the job done, but in some cases showing them how to get the job done. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position may be offered in other locations. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
