Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers and grow their value.This is a remote positions that could be located anywhere in the United States.This person will lead the compensation analyst team and will provide Calix with higher level, complex, compensation analysis and staff support activities to develop, implement and administer compensation philosophy, policies, and programs. Although based in the United States, this person will have responsibilities for compensation support for all countries where Calix has employees currently and in the future. Although this is a leadership role, this person will be expected to provide significant, collaborative, contributions to all programs in addition to leading the team. This person will participate, and at times, lead in all aspects of total compensation including base salaries, incentive compensation, equity programs, and executive compensation.Responsibilities and Duties: Provide direct leadership for the compensation analyst team globally.Provide high level compensation leadership in support of all aspects of total compensation.Develop and implement global compensation programs related to base salaries, incentive compensation, and equity programs.Establishes policies, procedures, work plan and delegates assignments to others in the team.Formulates recommendations regarding development of company compensation structures.Assist with preparation of special studies and recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation, or stock options.Develop and complete cost models, forecast analyses and plan designs on a variety of global compensation programs, budgets and tools.Advise leaders and Talent & Culture Business Partners with compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, transfers, job matches, job leveling, and job families.Develop and deliver compensation training and communication.Assist with compensation committee material.Collaborate with various teams and positions across the company.Provide market data and analysis for new positions globally.Audits jobs for content and prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements.Develops and/or participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position.Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies, and practices.Recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems. Reviews requests for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment.Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.Qualifications:Requires <25% travel and in person meeting attendance.Strong analytic capabilities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to collaborate across teams to achieve objectives.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and communicate the meaning of the data being presented.Proven ability to adapt and work effectively in a matrix organization to develop solutions that benefits the business and customer.Strong project management and organizational skills.Advanced proficiency with Excel, Word and Power Point.Required Experience:Previous senior level compensation experience with a public company.Previous experience in compensation market analysis, plan design and administration.10+ years of compensation analysis experience.5+ years of experience directly leading other compensation analystsStrong experience using compensation analysis tools such as Aon/Radford and Mercer.Strong Workday administration.Education:Bachelors Degree ideally in Human Resource Management, Finance or Business Administration. Compensation Certifications from World at Work desired.Location:Remote-based position located in the United States.
