The team organises festivals, including Download, Reading and Leeds, Latitude, Electric Picnic, Wireless, Lollapalooza Berlin and Wilderness.As an Assistant Management Accountant for Festival Republic, you will be responsible for the production of timely and accurate management accounts for operating projects within Festival Republic.The role reports to the Senior Management and will work closely with the Operations team to provide accurate and timely management accounts to agreed deadlines. Who you areCompetencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience Ideally a ACCA or CIMA studier with strong accounting knowledgeExperience in producing Management Accounts and Balance sheet reconciliationsFamiliarity with UK accounting principles and preparation of statutory financial statementsExcellent IT skills, strong Excel and experience of Oracle accounting an advantageGreat attention to detail, presentation and passionate about getting it right first timeConfident in your communication skills with good commercial awarenessGood organisational skillsBehaviours The following attributes determine how the role will be carried out and are required to be a successCommitted to getting the job done and delivering to agreed deadlinesPro-active approach to problem solvingEnthusiasm and ability to work independently in a growing organisationWhat the role includesProduction of monthly management accounts in accordance with agreed timescales to include a comparison with event by event budgets and forecasts together with explanations of major variance Assisting with preparation of monthly festival cash flows, highlighting any potential areas of concernFestival purchase invoice processingFestival sales invoice processingPreparation and review of profit and loss accounts for the income streams for each festival Weekly review of all ongoing budget expenditure with festival stakeholders, highlighting risk areas where budgets are likely to be exceededAttending meetings with Management and Partners to discuss results and action pointsMonthly production of balance sheet reconciliationsReviewing purchase and sales ledger balances with sub-ledger managers.
