Job Summary:THE TEAMThe Moshtix Technology team build many different solutions and services that enable our fans to get into events, and that enable our clients to manage the events from setup right through to payment settlement. Our services are used in currently in Australia and New Zealand.Our team’s role is not just about delivering change, it is also about making sure the services we deliver are as operationally efficient as they can be to deliver the best experience for developers, fans, and clients, as well as delivering the maximum commercial value to the company.The Moshtix Technology team is spread out in several different locations across Australia, India and United Kingdom, which gives us all a great opportunity to meet and work with a wide variety of different people!THE JOB As an experienced Platform/DevOps engineer you will be accountable for delivering high quality, maintainable and performant solutions. You will take initiative, solve problems and eliminate roadblocks to ultimately streamline processes related to development, releases, on sales and compliance.You work under general supervision with limited day-to-day direction. You will build and maintain full lifecycle automation tools, for example, provisioning, management, monitoring, orchestration, etc. You will be responsible for automating product releases, troubleshooting incidents, improving and maintaining security posture and tuning software and infrastructure performance, scalability and stability. You will participate in architecture and software development activities and translate loosely defined requirements into solutions.Moshtix has a clear technology strategy to drive the timely delivery of value to our fans and clients through leveragingcloud (AWS) hosted solutions, automation and developing on the latest technologies.Because our business is online 24/7, you may on occasion be required to work out of hours or provide on-call duty to support critical event on sales or event delivery.This position can be worked remotely in Australia/New Zealand.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Building full lifecycle automation tools i.e. build, automate testing, provision, management, monitoring, orchestration, etc.Designing, building, configuring and deploying cloud infrastructure.Developing, evolving, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.Supporting on sales and high demand management/automation.Maintaining and improving security posture and processes including PCI requirements.Improving developer experience by streamlining technical processes and developing shared solutions.Sharing knowledge with the wider team to improve standards, patterns and best practices.Facilitating and participating in architectural discussions and decisions.Developing, maintaining and monitoring instrumentation logs, alerts, and dashboards.Contributing to improving documentation and processes.Focus on building solutions keeping in mind the main principles of performance, flexibility and scalability of the platform.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Technical Skills/Competencies)Previous experience as a DevOps or Platform engineer.Hands on experience with automation tools, scripting and coding across a variety of languages/frameworks. We use AWS CDK (Typescript), Github Actions, Serverless Framework, Node.JS/NPM scripts, and a handful of PowerShell scripts that we’d be happy to be rid of.Advanced experience with AWS cloud hosted solutions.
