This leader needs to keep the customer at the center and balance the needs of both existing and brand new customers around the world. She/he will help make buying products easy for first-timers and fast, safe, and reliable to keep them coming back. The ideal candidate will have experience in reducing friction, improving conversion, and reimagining how and when buyers and sellers pay for things. This leader will be responsible for the following payments product areas:Shopping cartCheck outOrder management, invoicing, quotesPublic Buying APIsLoyalty, Gift cards, Coupons and discount codesExisting and new forms of payments experiencesThe Sr. Director of Product will be expected to grow, lead, and mentor a talented product team who will develop great products that dramatically improve the Payments experience on eBay. They will be well-versed in Agile principles, dedicated to continuous learning and improvement, and accomplished in the art of product management. Cross-functional organizational agility is essential and this leader will work closely with our Design, Research, Business, and Engineering teams to create an industry-leading payments experience. This leader will have a deep passion for thinking end-to-end across a diverse set of teams, disciplines, and systems. Equally important is exceptional leadership skills.This is an executive leadership role and a critical hire as payments is a key growth area for eBay. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
