The RoleAs the Sr. Director of Investor Relations, you will be a critical leader to eBay’s finance leadership team, as you create eBay’s investor relations strategy and programs.  As a member of the IR leadership team, reporting to the VP of Investor Relations, you will be a thought leader for creating eBay’s narrative. You will partner closely with eBay’s CEO, CFO and other leaders to support earnings and messaging.  Also, you will manage relationships with analysts and investors.The ideal candidate will be an influential finance leader with some investor relations experience capable of working with a diverse group of senior leaders. This candidate must be capable of partnering and advising C-level leadership.  Equally important, building and cultivating external relationships with investors, agencies, and media is fundamental to the success of this role.Key Responsibilities:In partnership with the IR team and VP, create the IR strategy and programs that support all aspects of Investor Relations for eBay Inc.Lead or support all aspects of earnings process including messaging materials (owns CFO script process, supports presentation, Q&A, release)Provide thought leadership on company messaging to executive leadership in a variety of forums – earnings summaries, BOD reviews, major company news, all hands, and more.Clearly communicate eBay’s strategy, business results and financial performance & plans to the investor community.For sell-side analysts, cultivate individual relationships to maximize understanding of the eBay story and drive highly effective Non-Deal Roadshows & Investor ConferencesFor buy side investors, lead meetings with all interested institutional investors, while continually improving targeting to attract the next set of investors.Lead bi-annual investor outreach process end-to-end in partnership with many teams.Supports execution of annual shareholder meetingMaintain adherence to disclosure and communications policy for any financial or metric disclosure requests across the company.Support finance talent development through mentorship and manages FLDP IR rotation team member. Requirements:Proven finance leader, with experience in investor relations within a public company.Outstanding financial and investment analysis skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability.eCommerce or related industry experience preferred.Knowledge of financial modeling techniques used by security analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance and the resulting value for its stock.Deep understanding of the financial and investment markets and the ability to establish new relationships in new industries quickly.An emerging or established reputation with the investment community, based on credibility, consistency, visibility, access, and depth and breadth of knowledge.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence.Ability to develop strong cultures, lead groups of individuals effectively and manage cross-functional coordination.Peerless communication and presentation skills, adroit at communicating simply and effectively in large or small group settings.Strong project management and problem-solving skillsThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.$184,000 - $312,400Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
