In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional business analytics that drive success for our pricing and monetization strategy. The North America Pricing and Monetization is responsible for how $40B of merchandise transacted in North America translates to bottom line revenue for our company. Your primary focus will involve developing and providing practical insights derived from analytics to enhance business performance. By gaining a deeper understanding of the key drivers and opportunities within our business, you will help drive revenue growth for eBay pricing and monetization.We are seeking a highly capable individual who can work autonomously, implement tasks effectively, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Help the business prioritize analytical deliverables and manage their expectations.Perform exploratory analysis of large data sets.Derive tactical and strategic insights to improve business strategies and accelerate channel growthDemonstrate strong analytical and statistical skills towards taking complex and unstructured business problems, and providing structured, hypothesis-driven and data-supported practical solutionsHave strong empirical and analytical background, with demonstrated ability to combine quantitative and qualitative findings to frame the right questions and measurable insightsBe a lateral problem solver, who constructively challenges the obvious answer to examine the underlying mechanism or phenomenonJob Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or other quantitative subject area5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science or related field with a Bachelor’s degree Or 4+ years of experience with a Master’s degreeStrong technical skills in data analysis tools and programming languages (SQL, Python/R, and Excel) to manipulate and analyze large, complex datasetsExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create visually impactful reports and dashboardsHypothesis testing and experience with experimentation (A/B testing)Solid understanding of statistical modeling techniques and their application to business scenariosExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersBackground in ecommerce retail domain is a plusBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
