We are seeking a talented and passionate engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and is driven by delivering high-quality software solutions.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software systems that power the selling capabilities on eBay's platformCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specificationsWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code using industry best practicesConduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure high-quality code standardsIdentify and troubleshoot system issues, performance bottlenecks, and implement timely solutionsStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential impact on eBay's selling platformCollaborate with QA engineers to develop comprehensive test plans and ensure the reliability and stability of the softwareParticipate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectivesActively contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and toolsQualifications:Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 6+ years of experience as a software engineerStrong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principleKnowledge of database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL), and experience with database schema design and optimizationFamiliarity with distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelinesExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and debug complex issues; Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environmentExperience with e-commerce platforms or marketplace systemsExperience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)Knowledge of search technologies (Lucene, Elasticsearch) and large-scale data processing frameworks (Hadoop, Spark)#LI-AC1#LI-HybridBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
