This platform runs our entire infrastructure and all the services that come together to form ebay.com.We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in leading a global agile delivery team consisting of developers, admins and QA. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our CRM solutions, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and the effective utilization of our platform as a strategic tool for our organization. Working closely with various stakeholders, both within the architects and product management teams, you will ensure that projects stay on track and within scope. If you are seeking a unique opportunity to advance your career, we would love to connect with you. Core Responsibilities:Manage and mentor a team of developers and administrators (6 internal and 20+ offshore resources), providing guidance and support to ensure high productivity and professional growth. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and teamwork.Manage the product development process from start to finish, including planning (with product management), design (with architects), development, testing, and implementation.Drive the development and implementation of best practices, processes, and tools to improve delivery.Providing technical guidance and expertise to the team. Stay abreast of new development tools, methods and capabilities and assess their potential impact on our organization.Working closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Technical Architects, to help manage the transition from analysis of requirements through design and delivery phases.Create and maintain technical documentation, including configuration guides and development standards. Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions to enhance the skills and capabilities of your team.Responsibility for the release management process.Provide regular and effective progress updates on key initiatives and projects to management and other stakeholders.Responsibility for coding standards and best practice – ensure the team is coached and guided on key principles.Resource planning for development teams.Undertake regular review of development practices and ensure quality standards are being met.Ownership of technical debt management, working closely with technical architects to ensure continuous focus on management of technical debt.Key supporter of agile ways of working and scrum methodologies.Your Profile:Proven experience as a Developer, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience and 3 years of people management experience.Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role, with demonstrated success in managing and developing a team of engineering professionals.Confident in making key technical decisions and guiding developers where necessary to help support their decision making.Proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of system/software development projects in an agile environment.Experience with CI/CD tools.Confident approach to coaching and technical leadership.Excellent personal organisation and ability to prioritise.Comfortable working without routine supervision.A desire to remain technically capable and an expert in current, relevant technologies.Experience in Salesforce development is beneficial but not mandatory. Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
