Director, Payments Business Strategy

eBay Payments LLC, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of eBay, Inc. seeks Director, Payments Business Strategy in San Jose, CAJob Duties: Lead payments and financial services projects which require specific knowledge of mathematical, statistical, or financial techniques and methodologies such as statistical regressions, game theory, and valuation methods to calibrate predictive, forward-looking business and risk models based on historical performance and external benchmarking. Analyze demand, price, cost, and risk sensitivities via statistical and predictive modeling techniques to stress-test the business model of payments and financial services. Utilize analytical results to design models to forecast allocation and prioritization of e-payments and financial services projects to accelerate revenue growth, cost of payment savings, and risk mitigation. Design performance measurement architecture through the application of mathematical and statistical metrics to monitor for key product features to change controls which will ensure strategy execution is consistent with original intent. Analyze and reform data collection techniques to obtain more precise business and product requirements data regarding performance, scalability, and security metrics to determine the relationship between these variables and develop periodic capacity modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning. Develop and manage a team of analysts, managers, and directors to oversee the operations of a portfolio of payments and financial services business lines, to identify new business and product opportunities, and to collaborate with a cross-functional team to execute on critical projects. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Mathematics, or closely related quantitative discipline plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in the field of strategy, business, or financial analysis or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Mathematics, or closely related quantitative discipline plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five  (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of strategy, business, or financial analysis. Special Skill Requirements:Quantitative analysis: statistics, financial modeling  Qualitative analysis: primary research, secondary research  Leadership skills: vision building, coaching direct reports  Business case development (problem & opportunity articulation, synthesizing requirements)  Programming: (SQL or Python)  Project management  Executive communications (verbal and written)  Product strategy and development Base Salary: $262,205-262,900 per annum. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
