eBay, Inc. seeks Systems Administrator 3 in San Jose, CAJob Duties: Develop and monitor automation using Automic Automation Engine to meet project and business requirements. Perform work requested by tickets, validate the completeness and accuracy of the request, and execute and provide results and feedback to the requester.  Work with the ticket requester to validate automation. Monitor the alerts console and act on batch failure notifications.  Review logs and available documentation and resolve errors and alarms appropriately and provide timely escalation as needed. Develop and utilize working knowledge of the applications to resolve failures.  Work cross-functionally with Product Development engineers, Technical Duty Officers, database administrators, production UNIX system administrators, and other teams to diagnose complex problems and drive resolution.  Utilize the eBay MarketPlaces site infrastructure in order to analyze impact of alarms and other system messages.  Identify the root causes of repeated failures and provide or recommend solutions.  Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.Special Skill Requirements:Unix; Shell; SDLC; PL/SQL; Java; SQL; Perl; Linux. Base Salary: $166,379 – 205,700 per annum. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
