eBay, Inc. seeks Data Science – Analyst 3 in San Jose, CAJob Duties: Data-driven support of the Customer Insight and Brand team to shape key business initiatives across the company using machine learning approaches. Work closely with a variety of cross functional partners across Corporate Strategy, the eBay Americas and Global business units, product, marketing, and brand to ensure effective strategy and planning by placing our customers at the center of decision making. Lead research projects including planning and executing research, leverage eBay’s vast data ecosystem, employ advanced statistical, modeling and forecasting techniques to generate deep insights and translate findings into recommendations that drive action. Conduct data extraction and integration combining perception, transaction, operational and finance data streams (qualitative and quantitative) across eBay buyers, sellers, and shoppers. Conduct in-depth data analysis using advanced statistical, machine learning and visualization tools to generate actionable insights. Promote the team’s understanding of underlying drivers of business outcomes and their relative levels of importance. Anticipate trends in perceptions and outcomes using a range of forecasting techniques.
