You will leverage product listings data, user segmentation based on implicit signals, core characteristics and explicit preferences to recommend relevant and inspiring inventory to our customers at every touch point. You are passionate about how best to understand eBay’s unique inventory, and map it to who the customers are and what they’re looking for. You will  answer questions such as : “How do we effectively rank paid and organic product  recommendations to drive engagement?" How do we model users' interests to rank  recommended products?" , "What products should we recommend to a customer who just purchased a guitar"?  Requirements:The role requires a user personalization and product understanding champion, who can define features and think at eBay scale.  You have partnered with the front end teams and ML research to build  algorithms.   A flare of explaining sophisticated technical concepts to non-technical partners  and higher management for trade-off decisions.  Bias towards action through MVP testing/ early validations while keeping product quality standards high.  Qualifications:3-5 years of experience in Product Management, shipping  products with data scientists, engineers and design resulting in significant business  impact.  A minimum of a bachelor's degree (preferably in computer science or statistics).  Masters/MBA is a plus.  Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
