For more information, visit www.ebayinc.com.The role:The Director, UK Motors, will report to and partner closely with the GM, UK Motors, to deliver the category strategy and plan for eBay’s Motors business in the UK. This individual will directly lead a portion of the UK Motors category team, and will serve as the ‘right hand’ of UK GM, owning the most critical initiatives in the UK business through solid-line, dotted-line, and horizontal/matrix leadership. As a senior leader within the team, this individual will have a track record of leadership in an online marketplace in the digital ecommerce, C2C or B2C space. Broad functional skills with shown success in multidisciplinary leadership including marketing, product, and operations is a must-have.Key focuses:Business:Deliver GMV/GMB growth for the Parts & Accessories (P&A) portion of UK Motors (vehicle parts)Deliver the most abundant catalogue of P&A inventory (every part for every vehicle)Deliver outstanding end-to-end customer experience for Parts & AccessoriesDevelop a strategy and investment thesis for the Vehicles portion of eBay Motors, a historically under-invested-in portion of eBay Motors in the UK.CustomerContinue growing Customer Satisfaction by addressing inventory gaps, pricing, trust gaps in P&A.Attract and retain buyers and sellers, with an emphasis on the sell-side of the marketplace.Develop deep relationships with eBay’s top P&A sellers, partner with a subset of these sellers to power transformative growth to their businesses on eBay.TeamBuild a strong team to achieve excellence, with an emphasis on developing a team that can partner with large P&A sellers to drive market-leading growth.Serve as a servant leader and role model for the team, exhibit leadership in line with eBay’s culture and values.Partner closely with eBay’s UK country General Manager and their staff to integrate both the team and the UK Motors operating plan into the overall UK country approach.The role will also require:Excellent decision-making skills with an interest in identifying, prioritizing, and articulating the highest impact initiatives.Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information where you may have ambiguity and need to use data to meet deliverables and drive initiatives to completion within specified timelines.Prior experience successfully leading and inspiring diverse teams.Establishing relationships with key industry players and partners.Experienced at influencing & negotiating others.
