Partner with internal teams to craft, develop, implement, and executive analytical strategies to improve Transaction Monitoring Rules and other types of analytics supporting the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program!Responsibilities:Analyze high-volume data to identify and report trends linked to money laundering or terrorism financing typologies and compliance for leadershipBuild or support compliance data system, transaction monitoring system, rules, data mapping, build, test, launch, and maintenanceDevelop, implement, present and maintain KPIs + Metrics ReportingDevelop standardized reporting packages, and deliver ad-hoc reporting/analysis as required by businessWork with large volumes of data for extraction, transformation and demonstrating eBay’s extensive and rich databasesInvestigate, identify and develop triggers, rules and algorithms linked to transaction monitoringDesign efficient data architecture for data management and performanceCraft and implement reports to measure success and performance of business and operations initiativesAutomate data driven system controls for Operational proceduresPerform data modeling while detailing and communicating analysisDevelop and implement compliance solutions in support of the Compliance organizationPartner with AML Compliance, Engineering, Risk, Product, and Customer Experience to achieve results for team and the AML Compliance programUnparalleled experience as part of one of the most innovative compliance teams, with chances to grow valuable skills and grow your career as an industry leaderDiverse, distributed team with colleagues in dozens of countriesThis position’s responsibilities includes data ingestion, analysis, modeling and distribution of transaction monitoring rules and reporting.You will interact with various teams like Global AML team, Legal, Risk, Product, Engineering, Production, Operations, & Finance to build effective AML Transaction Monitoring rules.What you will need to succeed:Assist in developing and testing of new risk mitigating rules through automated rules engineExperience in Business Analysis, technology and complianceKnowledge of Business Intelligence tools like Tableau is a mustExperience with Hadoop big data bases and Data Warehouse.Applied experience in crafting sophisticated queries involving multiple data sources.Experience in statistical modelingStrong Excel skills, advance level a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to understand larger picture and environment while operating in focused mannerQualifications:This is a Hybrid Role requiring the employee to work a few days each week either at our office in San Jose, California or Austin, Texas.Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related quantitative fieldMultiple years experience working in core AML products, money laundering and terrorism typology, segmentation, scenarios, models, methodology, and AML toolsFinTech or regulated environment experienceInvestigation, internal review, or law enforcement familiarityExperience with Model Risk Management frameworks, AML Transaction Monitoring, Financial Investigations or similar subject areaExperience in Confluence and JiraProject Management ExperienceBenefits:Benefits are a crucial part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
