The team includes the company's global legal department, risk management program, and its policy group who interacts with content regulators, law enforcement, IP, corporate governance and SEC compliance, contracts, and other legal and government relations matters.Position Summary:The Product Safety Compliance Auditor provides in-depth support to the Global Regulatory team, other internal partners, and external parties by actively managing regulatory issues. This role reports to the Global Regulatory Specialist.Job Description:Conduct end-to-end audit engagement in relation to CE marking by reviewing compliance documents.Support and communicate effectively with our eBay sellers to guide them through the audit process.Support building, rolling out and managing the new audit tool.Build and maintain internal relationships with the Trust, Horizontal, Business Rules, Corporate Communications, Litigation, Government Relations, and Criminal and Regulator Investigations teams.Manage and support escalations from regulators and monitoring authorities, media, and non-government organizations from around the world.Conduct investigations and analyses of non-compliant conduct.Identify emerging trends in illegal product listings on the eBay marketplace, and assess the associated regulatory, payments, and brand risks. Develop strategies and implement measures to disrupt these activities.Be recognized as a key internal partner and subject matter expert on product safety and other Prohibited and Restricted Items policies.Liaise, engage, and follow up with regulators and monitoring authorities to refer new investigations and drive progress with ongoing cases.Skills/Requirements:Two or more years of experience related to regulatory issues, non-compliant/unsafe products, project management, criminal investigations, risk management, financial services, or high-tech crime.Solid working knowledge of eBay marketplaces with experience in both buying and selling, and a strong commitment to making the internet a safe, viable means of commerce.Ability to effectively communicate with groups at all levels. More specifically, the candidate should be able to explain the eBay platform in laymen’s terms as well as handle more complex inquiries.Possess a high level of integrity and be able to manage sensitive or confidential information.Ability to make sound logical decisions consistent with a strategic vision of function, sometimes under ambiguous circumstances.A proactive and problem-solving mindset. You are curious and continually striving to improve the world around you.Significantly data-driven with a proven capability in data analysis; ability to draw insights from a comprehensive point of view.Self-driven, motivated to excel; ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain productivity in a fast-paced and, at times, high-pressure environment.Positive inter-team communication and interaction with a high level of enthusiasm for the assigned projects or investigations.Must be detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks; able to quickly adapt to the changing needs of the business and meet deadlines.Utilize logical analysis by identifying effective solutions to solve a variety of problems.Previous experience in an auditing role preferable.Fluency in written and verbal English and German is essential.Education:Bachelor’s degree or work-experience equivalent.Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
