As an Operations Research Scientist II, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing advanced optimization algorithms, mathematical models, and data-driven solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes for our clients.Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and formulate mathematical models to address complex supply chain challenges.Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge optimization algorithms and decision-support tools for supply chain planning and scheduling.Conduct in-depth data analysis, explore patterns, and extract insights to drive continuous improvement and optimize existing algorithms.Evaluate the performance of developed models through rigorous testing, sensitivity analysis, and validation against real-world data.Participate in software development and integration efforts to ensure smooth deployment and usability of optimization solutions within Blue Yonder's products.Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in operations research, data science, and machine learning to identify opportunities for innovation.Collaborate with the research team to publish research findings in academic journals and represent Blue Yonder at industry conferences.Tech Stack:Programming languages: Python, Java, C++Optimization libraries: CPLEX, Gurobi, SCIPData manipulation and analysis: pandas, NumPy, SciPyMachine learning frameworks: TensorFlow, scikit-learnDatabase technologies: SQL, NoSQLVersion control: GitQualifications:Proven experience in developing and applying optimization algorithms in the context of supply chain management or related domains.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of mathematical modeling and operations research techniques.Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ for algorithm development and implementation.Experience with optimization libraries such as CPLEX, Gurobi, or SCIP for solving large-scale linear and mixed-integer optimization problems.Familiarity with data analysis, data manipulation, and machine learning frameworks to process and interpret large datasets.Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Education:Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative fieldMaster's degree OR Ph.D. Preferred iAt Blue Yonder, we value innovation, creativity, and a passion for problem-solving. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses, and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
