Job Description: Software Engineer II - Transportation PlanningLocation: Hybrid out of our Coppell, TX Office (remote not available)Overview: Blue Yonder, a leading supply chain software company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer II to join our team working on the Transportation Planning product. As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex software solutions that enable our customers to efficiently manage their transportation operations and enhance their supply chain performance.Responsibilities:Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and contribute to technical design discussions.Design and develop advanced J2EE-based applications and features for Blue Yonder's Transportation Planning product.Utilize the Spring framework to architect scalable and high-performing software components.Implement DevOps practices to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and monitoring of software updates.Contribute to version control using Github to manage code repositories and facilitate collaborative development.Optimize software performance to ensure the product meets or exceeds customer expectations.Implement quality assurance processes and conduct code reviews to maintain high software standards.Research and integrate Machine Learning technologies into the product to enhance its intelligence and capabilities.Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects and performance issues.Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior software engineers to foster professional growth.Tech Stack:Programming languages: Java, J2EEFrameworks: SpringDevOps practicesVersion control: GithubPerformance optimizationQuality assuranceMachine LearningQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in J2EE-based application development and Spring framework.Strong understanding of software design principles and architecture.Experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration, and deployment.Proficiency in version control using Github or similar tools.Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for large-scale applications.Familiarity with quality assurance processes and conducting code reviews.Exposure to Machine Learning concepts and their application in software development.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Master's degree is a plus.Join Blue Yonder's talented team of Software Engineers and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Transportation Planning product.
