The Staff Accountant is a key member of the Finance and Accounting Team, responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by verifying, reviewing, and recording transactions, working to ensure compliance with the Company's policies, performing analyses, and recording required adjustments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting and feel confident working deep in the details but can also see “the big picture!” The Day to DayActively participate in month-end close cycle to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results, inclusive of journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintenance of sub ledgers.Participate in the daily responsibilities related to cash application, credit card merchant deposits, and other ad hoc duties that support accounting operations.Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations for key accounts, including but not limited to cash, fixed assets, prepaids and accruals.Perform analyses and reporting of key accounts to ensure that proper accounting has been applied.Manage and report on significant balance sheet activity and balances.Assist with US GAAP and FRS 102 audit preparation by preparing deliverables and answering auditor questions.Assist the team on various analysis, system implementations, initiatives and ad hoc projects in support of financial reporting requirements.Participate in the development, implementation, and management of financial controls and processes.Responsible for the oversight of key controls within various key accounting processes and integrity of data. Your Expertise and PassionBachelor and/or Masters in Accounting or related field.2-3 years previous accounting experience preferred.Ability to analyze and resolve complex accounting issues.Strong Excel skills: able to handle very large “raw” data sets using pivots and advanced functions such as VLOOKUP.Interest and aptitude to improve accounting systems and business processes.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
