About the role: As our Staff Accountant, you will own our day-to-day accounts payable transactions. You’ll report into our amazing Accounting Lead and help ensure a timely and accurate month-end close and support budget-to-actuals reporting for department heads. What you’ll do as our Staff Accountant: Process incoming invoices to ensure accurate entry of day-to-day financial transactions. Ensure correct classification of expenses. Review transactions against vendor contracts and verify and investigate discrepancies. Manage RAMP expense reporting by: following up with employees for expense report submission and approvals, reviewing expense accounts, approving virtual card requests in adherence with company expense policy, and syncing transactions to ERP. Make recommendations to improve internal expense policies and processes. Manage fixed asset and prepaid schedule reconciliations and journal entries using excel. Make recommendations for monthly expense accruals. Reconcile account transactions with the general ledger. Play a key role with month-end close, always executing timely and accurate close procedures. Prepare financial reports, complete ad-hoc projects as needed.
