The insurance industry continues to struggle with harnessing the available risk and peril data to profitably underwrite business. Property insurance in particular is a major source of losses and premium leakage. Plus, there is a missed opportunity to engage policyholders and agents to better manage property risk. Betterview synthesizes all available property and peril data to help insurance companies profitably underwrite business, and engages policyholders and agents to manage risk. THE OPPORTUNITY As a Business Development Representative at Betterview, you will be a customer facing representative that supports Betterview in driving exceptional customer outcomes. You will engage with customers authentically to maximize alignment and sales results. This position is key to initiating and building strong relationships that enable us to hit annual sales target and budgets as a sales team. This role is a commissioned position with significant upside for top performers. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Initiating and developing new opportunities through prospecting potential customers with outbound and inbound sequences; Engaging with potential customers to identify pain points they are experiencing, and position Betterview as a potential solution to those problems; Understanding and effectively communicating the company’s value prop, product, and any related partnerships; Engaging the Sellers into the newly identified opportunities and supporting them in further Discovery conversations; Supporting the individual Sellers to move opportunities through the sales funnel converting to revenue generating customers; Work with Marketing to leverage contacts that are actively engaged with Betterview content deeper into the sales cycles and generate new opportunities; Working with Customer Experience to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing customers; Communicating effectively among customers and team members; Leveraging industry-leading tools such as Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, Hubspot, and other solutions to their utmost capability. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR COMPANY 1-3 years of B2B Enterprise Inbound/Outbound experience (experience with a SaaS provider is a plus) Ability to identify contacts including potential buyers within complex accounts Demonstrated ability to exceed Outbound and Inbound quotas. Effective communication skills (verbal and written). Excellent listening, negotiation, organizational and presentation skills Bachelor’s degree. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Has the ability and willingness to travel 10-20%. Establishes credibility and trust quickly with the ability to compel others. Has a passion for sales engagement technology with an eye towards system optimization. Is passionate about helping emerging technology companies reach their ideal customer profile with impactful problem statements that break down comfortability with the status quo. Has an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys being an active participant in a growing company with a strong drive to deeply understand the business, the technology, and the product. Is a self-starter and self-driven.
