- Identify, onboard, and manage relations with new suppliers, including tour operators, activity providers, resellers, and OTAs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key travel and tourism stakeholders in the Nordic region.
- Manage and nurture existing high-value accounts, ensuring they fully leverage the capabilities of the Bókun system and optimise their satisfaction.
- Create and implement ta rgeted marketing and sales strategies to increase Bókun's market share and visibility in the Nordics.
- Collaborate with the global team to share insights, best practices, and market intelligence, contributing to developing a playbook for growing Bókun's footprint in other markets.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring a positive return on investment and informing future market expansion strategies.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences as a representative of Bókun, promoting our offerings and establishing connections with potential partners.
- The role will report to the Senior business development manager
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably with experience in the travel and tourism industry.
- Must be fluent in English and Icelandic; additional Nordic languages would be an advantage
- Proven track record of driving growth, achieving sales targets, and successfully managing key accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A deep understanding of the Nordic travel and tourism market and its key players.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful marketing and sales strategies.
- Results-driven, with a keen focus on achieving revenue and growth goals.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively with the global team.
- The role requires frequent travel within the Nordics to meet with clients, partners and to attend events. Occasional international travel outside of the Nordics may also be necessary, depending on business needs.
