The Role: The Fraud and abuse lead will run our efforts in identifying, mitigating, and preventing fraudulent and abusive activities within our platform. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for analyzing business systems, identifying vulnerabilities, balancing risk with cost and driving the remediation of issues. Responsibilities: Fraud Identification and Analysis: Proactively identify and analyze emerging fraud trends using data analytics tools.  Strategy Development: Develop and implement robust anti-fraud and abuse strategies that balance security with user experience.  Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, data science, and customer support teams to design and implement solutions.  Policy Formulation: Draft and update internal policies and procedures related to fraud detection and prevention. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of fraud analysts.  Incident Response: Manage and respond to high severity incidents related to fraud and abuse, ensuring timely resolution and communication.  Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with executive and other teams about fraud trends, mitigation efforts, and impact.  Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors providing fraud detection and prevention services.  Training and Education: Educate staff and users about potential fraud risks and best practices for prevention.
