Vimeo is looking for a highly skilled Frontend Developer to join the Editor team. The Editor team is the heart of Vimeo’s creation area where users can edit their videos - add images/videos, trim, position, color, manage sound, text animations, effects and much more.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate requirements and designs into responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces.
Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable components using our tech stack (TypeScript, React, Redux, and Styled Components no name a few).
Build features that can scale to the demands of Vimeo's massive traffic.
Optimize front-end performance for an exceptional user experience.
Participate in a full development life cycle including planning and code reviews.Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices, contributing to our team's continuous improvement.
Qualifications :
3+ years of proven experience with a modern web framework in a production environment (React strongly preferred)
Experience with state management libraries (Redux preferred)
Experience with writing unit and integration tests.
Strong CSS skills and understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-browser quirks.
Experience with RESTful API integration and asynchronous programming.
Familiarity with git and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English
Independent, fast learner, and passionate about creating exceptional user interfaces and experiences.
Bonus points:
Experience with video or multimedia applications.
Knowledge of web accessibility standards.
Contributions to open-source projects.
