THE ROLE:  As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations of the company, reporting to the Controller. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and conduct insightful financial analysis. Working closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the financial planning process, help maintain a robust financial control environment and contribute to the assessment and implementation of new financial systems and processes. You may have the opportunity to develop and lead a team as the Company continues to grow, including accounts payable and/or accounts receivable team members.   Key responsibilities include: Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy, compliance with GAAP accounting principles and timely reporting to stakeholders. General Ledger: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing checklists. Financial Analysis: Provide variance analysis against actuals results; Conduct insightful financial analysis to support decision-making, as required. Audit and Compliance: Support financial audits with external auditors. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards. Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance accounting processes to streamline operations, improve accuracy, and strengthen internal controls. Systems Implementation: Work with accounting and other teams to implement and integrate financial software systems, optimizing automation and efficiency. Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and develop accounting and/or financial operations team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. THE SKILL SET:  5+ years professional experience with 3+ years in a cross-functional accounting department  Public accounting experience a plus High growth startup and/or marketplace experience a plus Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is a plus Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance (GAAP) Experience implementing financial systems and processes Experience managing a high performing team Strong desire to continuously improve operations and service excellence  Curious in understanding the why’s and not just accepting status quo Ability to execute hands-on, to learn quickly and achieve real wins in a fast-paced environment Ego-free and a strong collaborator who values ideas and dialogue from people across the organization  High attention to detail and accuracy Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge  SQL and Looker experience a plus THE SALARY, BENEFITS & PERKS: The range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 yearly salary, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
