We are looking for a Compliance Specialist to help ensure our company adheres to in-house policies, financial regulations, and legal privacy standards. You will be responsible for helping manage Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) regulations and controls in all aspects and levels of business and provide guidance on any regulatory requirements related to SOX compliance.
A great Compliance Specialist is well-versed in financial, legal guidelines, and corporate governance best practices. They are professionals of high ethical standards and work diligently to complete their duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business. You must be comfortable saying “no” when necessary and be results-oriented. The goal is to preserve the company’s integrity by ensuring it stays on a lawful and ethical course.
In-office, hybrid, and virtual/remote workplace options are available. However, given that proximity to the office is necessary for in-person meetings from time to time, the work location for this role is limited to Santa Clara, CA, and surrounding cities. The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $130,000. Our recruiting team will provide a more specific salary range based on work location and years of experience. In this role, you will:
Develop and oversee controls to address identified risks, prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of controls and strive to continuously improve them while adapting to changing business needs and regulations
Lead and participate in annual SOX Financial Audits and Security Compliance Audits
Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process, provide necessary documentation and support
Provide project updates consistently to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Keep corporate training on financial regulations, In-House Policies, and Privacy up to date
Participate in Security Information Questionnaires and Vendor Management reviews
Revise procedures, reports, etc., periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
Draft, modify, and implement company policies as needed
Collaborate with information security, financial team, legal counsel, and HR department to monitor standards and regulations
Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible financial, compliance, and privacy risks
Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify financial, compliance, and privacy issues
Stay up to date on regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate

You have proven experience in compliance with an understanding of SOX a plus
You have deep knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
You have excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
You have a proven track record of being methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
You have an analytical mind and can see the complexities of procedures and regulations
You have excellent communication skills
You are adept at building rapport and trust among all stakeholders and teammates through integrity, honesty, authenticity, and drive
You bring natural curiosity, creativity, and humility
You have demonstrated proactiveness and perseverance in complex environments
You have a Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience
We’d be especially excited if you have technical program/project management (TPM) experience. Also, please let us know if you are a certified compliance professional.
