Manager, IT Operations Position Overview SingleStore is hiring for a Manager/Sr. Manager of IT Operations reporting to the Head of Global IT. This is a hands-on manager role. In this role you will be leading a team of IT Operations and support engineers and collaborating with Security, SRE, and facilities partners to deliver best-in-class IT systems and services to the entire company.   We are looking for someone with a good mix of leadership skills and a broad technical skillset in the IT Infrastructure and Operations area. You will be involved in identifying and designing current and future technical solutions for the company’s collaboration, agile workflow tools, information systems, applications, integrations, and business processes. If that sounds like you, we want you to apply!  Roles and Responsibilities: Establish a culture of excellence, trust, and responsibility within the Information Technology team Explores new technologies for future planning and potential implementation Function as an escalation point for issues concerning all core IT systems (Identity management, email communication, content collaboration, office infrastructure management, endpoint management, etc.) Participate in cross-departmental collaboration and projects that require active participation from IT Operations e.g. New office setup Establish appropriate controls and processes to measure and provide great end user support Act as the technical lead/liaison when implementing technical projects Able to communicate effectively and concisely with the entire company. Manage team’s performance and engagement level through constructive feedback, identification of training and tool gaps Facilitate ongoing IT Operations communication between offices and employees Analyze existing processes, suggest and make improvements, and implement business processes where none exists. A desire to learn and expand your horizons; take on new challenges as the business scales. Required Skills and Experience: Prior experience with managing help desk / Service desk function for a global company with a hybrid working arrangement is required. Demonstrated experience with deploying/collecting laptops and other hardware at a global scale for supporting a hybrid work environment is essential.  Prior management experience, leading technical and functional resources, preferably at a fast-paced high-growth company Prior experience within an IT or technical organization, including automation, applications implementation, and/or business analysis. Demonstrated experience building winning teams, identifying growth opportunities in others, developing talent, and recognizing talent gaps. Strong leadership skills, including but not limited to collaborative attitude, providing constructive feedback, driving for results, aligning priorities with business objectives, and strong communication skills. Demonstrated technical skills across the technology stack and willingness to learn others: OKTA, Confluence, JIRA, Slack, Zoom, google suite including google meet, VoIP telephony among others. Demonstrated technical understanding of Network management (LAN, WAN, Firewalls, Wireless) Excellent communication and organization skills Experience in managing vendors for outsourced services Familiarity with programming languages e.g. Python is a plus. Relevant industry certifications or B.S.
