Partner Engineer

Funded by premier investors including GV and Lightspeed, Redpanda is building the streaming data platform for developers. We’re evolving streaming beyond the Apache Kafka® protocol into a unified “engine of record” that delivers a categorical reduction in complexity, wicked-fast performance, onboard Wasm transforms, and transparent tiered storage that gives consumers access to both real-time and historical data from a single API.   About the Role: We are looking for an accomplished and dynamic Partner Engineer to join our Engineering team and play a pivotal role in strengthening our relationships with our Redpanda technology partners. You will collaborate closely with our partner ecosystem to drive technical integrations, enhance joint solutions, and ensure seamless interoperability between our products and services. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and excellent communication skills to create and maintain successful partnerships. You will be a foundational member of the partner engineering team, helping to guide the vision, build processes, and drive strategy. This is an opportunity to work closely with product and engineering leadership and teams at a fast-growing, well-funded startup.  You Will:  Work closely with our strategic technology partners to understand their products and APIs Utilize your technical proficiency and collaborative skills to architect and develop innovative, repeatable solutions that leverage Redpanda and our partners' combined technologies. Lead the end-to-end process from ideation to execution, ensuring the integration meets performance, security, and usability requirements Own and manage the entire lifecycle of partner integration projects. Define project scopes, milestones, and timelines. Coordinate cross-functional teams, aligning resources to ensure successful execution and delivery Act as a trusted technical advisor to partners, offering insights and recommendations on integration strategies, best practices, and optimization opportunities. Provide guidance to internal teams on partner-specific technical considerations Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during integration or solution deployment. Collaborate with partners to address challenges promptly and effectively, maintaining a high level of partner satisfaction Develop comprehensive technical documentation, integration guides, and best practices related to partner solutions Conduct training sessions for both internal teams and partners to ensure a deep understanding of integration processes Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and partner offerings. Provide feedback to internal product and engineering teams based on partner insights, contributing to product roadmap development You Have: 3+ years of experience in creating sophisticated joint technical solutions with enterprise partners Experience defining processes and relationships with partners, such as support workflows Examples of collaboration with product managers and engineers for crafting certification test suites, white papers.. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through previous examples of white papers and blog posts  High comfort level for working with a fast-paced, 100% distributed engineering team and company Please highlight if applicable to you: Previous experience as a solutions or sales engineer working on enterprise products Hands on software development experience or education in a Computer Science related field Exposure to data streaming technologies such as Redpanda Familiarity with C++   U.S. base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000 (CO, TX) and $180,000 - $210,000 (CA, NY). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
