Job Summary:
SmithRx is seeking a talented Director of Pharmacy Partnerships who will play a critical part of our strategy team by supporting the sales team focusing on partners with owned pharmacy assets, in particular, health systems. The role will be responsible for helping to manage, build and maintain relationships in the health system pharmacy community as well as other entities that own pharmacy assets. This role will work with pharmacy directors of these organizations to educate on how SmithRx can be a channel to optimize the client owned pharmacy as an asset. The critical KPI is opening opportunities for the sales team to work with HR and benefit brokers associated with these entities. In this role, you will collaborate cross functionally to effectively promote, support, partner and deliver the SmithRx solution. In addition, you will help develop playbooks for each pharmacy opportunity (i.e. 340B, employee utilization, custom pricing) and work with pharmacy directors to articulate them through the proper channels. Our team members must be willing to wear multiple hats and adapt to different situations as SmithRx continues to grow and expand throughout the United States.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background and interest in pharmacy and health systems, relationships management, strategy, process development, program management, and leading presentations externally and internally. This role reports directly to our VP of Strategy.
What will you do:
Work with sales and strategy teams to map out key target opportunities
Nurture SmithRx relationships with key health system and pharmacy contacts, to drive strong relationships and increase understanding about our capabilities
Drive opportunity growth through the pharmacy as an asset channel
Effectively collaborate with members of cross functional teams, Sales, Customer Success, Sales Ops, Partnerships, Strategy, Analytics, Product and Marketing teams
Create purpose-built content (playbooks, cheat sheets, job aides, objection handling, FAQs, etc.) to improve solution knowledge and support the sales process and methodology focused on health systems and pharmacies
Facilitate meetings with pharmacy directors to understand our differentiators and to drive excitement about our value proposition
Content preparation and leading training will be critical
Develop and maintain intra-company relationships consistent with our values
What will you bring to SmithRx:
10+ years experience working with health systems and pharmacies
4+ yrs of experience institutionalizing 340B drug programs
Expertise in 340b programs and navigating PBM relationships in the healthcare ecosystem
Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree
Experience working with health system pharmacies preferred
Experience in a high growth, fast changing environment
Ability to quickly understand complex internal processes and needs
Excellent poise and presentation skills, strong writing skills
Experience leveraging technology and tools
Adept at social selling and networking
